About this game

G-LOC Air Battle is a flight combat simulator and flying shooter in which players pilot a G-LOC fighter against guerilla forces that have seized military tanks, aircraft, and warships.

Developed by Sega AM2 for Sega Y Board hardware, the game features sprite scaling, rotation, and pre-rendered 3D graphics. It is a spiritual sequel to After Burner II and was also offered in the immersive R360 arcade cabinet, which could rotate 360 degrees across three axes. The R360 version is commonly called G-LOC R360, although its gameplay is identical.

G-LOC Air Battle was released for Sega Y Board, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear, Nintendo 3DS, and Final Burn Alpha Neo. Sega is listed as its publisher, with Sega and SIMS listed among its developers.
