About this game

Golden Path is a point-and-click adventure game starring Y'n Hsi, a Buddhist monk seeking to defeat the warlord Ch'un Kuei and reclaim his family’s palace.

The player guides Y'n Hsi by clicking directly on the game screen. Clicking the ground moves him, clicking below him allows him to pick up or drop objects, and clicking above his head attempts to use the held item. Right-clicking makes him punch and kick in combat.

Gameplay

  • Explore screens connected by the branching golden path.
  • Collect and use objects with a four-slot inventory.
  • Fight occasional enemies.
  • Consult an in-game book for hints and information about characters, objects, and events.
  • Monitor the monk’s energy with a slowly withering vine that grows when certain tasks are completed.
  • Save with S and load with L.

Golden Path was developed by Magic Logic and published by Amsoft Gold and Firebird Software for Amiga, Amstrad CPC, and Atari ST systems.
