Hostages

Hostages puts the player in command of a six-man GIGN team attempting to rescue hostages from a terrorist-held embassy in Paris.

Gameplay

The mission is divided into two or three sections, depending on the platform. First, three team members must be moved into position to snipe the building while avoiding searchlights by using cover, diving, rolling, crawling, and running. Being caught in a searchlight can expose a sniper to gunfire.

The remaining three men then enter the building. They can abseil down its side to select an entry room, while the positioned snipers provide support by shooting terrorists through the windows. The building must be searched for both terrorists and hostages; in some versions, the hostages must also be escorted to a safe room.
