A wraparound platform challenge for the ZX Spectrum and other systems

About this game

Jumping Jack is a platform game created by Albert Ball and Stuart C. Ball for the 16K ZX Spectrum. It was also available on Atari 8-bit computers and the Dragon 32 under the name Leggit!

Each level contains eight wraparound floors. Scrolling holes move across the floors and shift upward or downward when they reach the edge of the screen. Jack must jump through the holes to reach the top, but every jump creates a new hole on a randomly selected floor.

Falling through a hole or hitting the ceiling stuns Jack, leaving him vulnerable to holes passing underneath. Falling to the bottom costs a life. Completing a level reveals a verse from the Ballad of Jumping Jack; later levels begin with additional holes, and monsters appear from the second level onward.
