Investigate the Whitechapel murders through hidden-object scenes and puzzle challenges.
Actual Crimes: Jack the Ripper is a hidden-object adventure based on the 1888 Jack the Ripper case in Victorian England. Players investigate the murders as Chief Constable Melville Macnaghten and forensic scientist Francis Galton, examining locations connected to the case.
Each scene contains a list of objects to find. Certain items provide additional information about their connection to the investigation, while police badges can be collected to provide extra hints. Fingerprints hidden in the scenery add time to the clock in timed play.
Between investigations, players encounter challenges including a shredded-letter jigsaw, a tile-sliding puzzle, spot-the-differences scenes, and a tarot-card memory game. Detective Mode gives each scene a 10-minute limit, while Rookie Mode removes time constraints.
