The briefing

About this game

Alien vs. Predator is a 1993 arcade beat ’em up with fighter, hack-and-slash, and shooter elements. Set in San Drad, California, the game follows cybernetically enhanced Major Dutch Schaefer and Lieutenant Linn Kurosawa after an Alien outbreak leaves them cornered and abandoned by their superiors.

Two Predators intervene and offer an alliance. Players control up to three of four characters: Dutch, Linn, a Predator hunter, and a Predator warrior. Together, they battle through several environments while uncovering an experiment involving renegade General Bush of the U.S. Colonial Marines and the Weyland-Yutani corporation.

The characters ultimately destroy the Alien hive by crashing a military ship into San Drad. Before returning to space, the Predator warrior gives Dutch and Linn his wrist blades in recognition of their skills.
