Arcade beat-'em-up action across eight city levels

The briefing

About this game

Crime Fighters is a Konami arcade beat-'em-up released in 1988. Players fight through eight city levels, including subways and docks, while rescuing kidnapped women and battling the crime boss's gang.

Combat centers on pummeling enemies with bare hands and using objects found throughout the stages. Each level ends with a boss battle, including opponents modeled after famous horror-movie villains. The scoring system awards one point for every defeated enemy, while exaggerated cartoon hazards include steamrollers and falling billboards.
