Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf is the first game in the Strike series. Released in 1992, it combines action, flight simulation, shooting, and strategy.

Players pilot a specially designed AH-64A Apache on missions to rescue missing-in-action characters, destroy power plants, and eliminate SCUD missiles while working to uncover Kilbaba's plans and stop a threatened nuclear attack.
