Dynasty Warriors 3

Dynasty Warriors 3 retells roughly 50 years of conflict from Romance of the Three Kingdoms, beginning with the Yellow Turban Rebellion and leading to the final confrontation between Wei and Shu at Wu Zhong. Players fight for the forces of Wei, Wu, Shu, and other armies across large-scale historical battles.

More than 40 characters are playable, with each character offering a unique weapon type, magic ability, and character-specific sequence of levels. Defeated generals and level boxes provide weapons, items, and stat-boosting rewards, while hidden objectives unlock the most powerful equipment. Successful missions also improve the bodyguards accompanying the player character.

Most completed stages can be replayed with any character or faction in Free Mode. An in-game encyclopedia provides information on the events and characters of the Three Kingdoms era, including figures who do not appear in the game.
