Marvel's Wolverine gives Logan an unusually expansive wardrobe, spanning comic-book eras, film-inspired looks, animated designs, alternate timelines, and several original creations. There are 27 suits and 22 claw styles in the standard game, while the Digital Deluxe Edition adds five more suits and five matching claw sets. That brings the complete collection to 32 costumes and 27 claw options.
Most unlocks arrive naturally as players move through missions, but completionists will need to do more than simply finish the campaign. Several costumes must be crafted with materials recovered from Material Crates, while others are tied to Whiskey Bottle collectibles or high ranks in Gauntlet Nightmare Trials. One final costume requires completion of every mission.
The important thing to remember is that suits and claws are cosmetic in combat: they do not directly change Logan's moves or damage. Crafting outfits still matters, however, because expanding the collection raises Wolverine's maximum health. A fully built wardrobe can increase his health to as much as twice its base amount. Materials are therefore valuable well beyond their fashion purpose.
Material Crates begin to matter during the early Homecoming mission. Search missions carefully for them, and do not panic over missed crates: missions can be replayed, and there are enough materials in the game to make every craftable suit. Whiskey Bottles are worth watching for during replays as well, since collecting the entire set unlocks one of the more distinctive comic-inspired outfits.

Outside of two exceptions, suit bodies and claw appearances can be freely mixed. The Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls and Animated costumes each have dedicated claw styles that can only be equipped with their corresponding suit. Story missions may also occasionally impose a particular outfit, preventing changes until that sequence ends.
Starting suits and early crafting unlocks
Logan begins with two looks immediately available. Team X Tactical is his opening military-style uniform, using a black base with yellow webbing and drawing from a Team X comic design. His standard Adamantium Claws are also available from the outset. The other default option, Tank Top, pairs a white vest with jeans, a familiar casual Wolverine presentation seen in comics and films.
During Homecoming, two 75-material options become craftable. Battle Reborn is the game's reworked version of Wolverine's iconic yellow-and-black cowled costume. Gold Standard, meanwhile, is an interpretation of his Astonishing X-Men appearance, combining yellow and blue elements with an X-Men belt buckle. Crafting Gold Standard also unlocks Bone Claws.
At the beginning of The One That Got Away, four more crafted suits arrive. Fang costs 150 materials and comes with Savage Bone Claws. Its origins lie in Uncanny X-Men #107, where Wolverine takes on the outfit of the alien warrior Fang after his own costume is damaged.
Old Man Logan, also 150 materials and paired with Savage Bone Claws, offers a weathered, long-coat interpretation of the older Logan concept. Ultimate Red costs 150 materials, unlocks Hooked Claws, and is based on Wolverine's newer Ultimate Universe role as the Winter Soldier under Colossus, Magik, and Omega Red. Finally, the 200-material Ablation suit includes Notched Claws. Its source is Wolverine's armored orange-tinted Ablation gear from the Wolverine comic series, originally given to him after a Microverse virus cost him his healing factor and natural claw use.
There is also a preorder reward at this stage. Classic Brown unlocks at the start of The One That Got Away for players entitled to the bonus, with Reflective Claws. The brown costume first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #139 and remains among Wolverine's most enduring comic looks.
Mission-based costumes through the middle of the campaign
At the start of Something Stronger, Weapon X becomes craftable for 200 materials. It includes Curved Claws and reimagines the experimental apparatus used to turn Logan into an adamantium-infused, controlled killer. The same mission also unlocks Future Past automatically, a casual jeans, henley, and fleece-lined coat ensemble inspired by Wolverine's X-Men: Days of Future Past comic attire.
Dressed Down unlocks at the beginning of One Last Mission. The red flannel and jeans presentation resembles the kind of lumberjack-ready clothing associated with Logan, including a similar look worn in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Leather Jacket follows at the start of Jetlag, placing Wolverine in a leather jacket, flannel, and jeans combination reminiscent of his off-duty screen appearances.
Four additional craftable designs appear at the start of Get Angry. X-Force costs 200 materials and awards Angular Claws, representing Wolverine's stealthy black-ops X-Force uniform. Blue & Gold, another 200-material craft with Thin Claws, recreates an X-Men training uniform made by Moira MacTaggert in Uncanny X-Men #273.
Ultimate Yellow costs 200 materials and comes with Crescent Claws. It is the black combat outfit with yellow accents seen in Uncanny X-Men #423 and later used by Ultimate X-Men Wolverine. The 250-material Accursed suit unlocks Natural Bone Claws and adapts Logan's Madripoor appearance from Marvel Comics Presents #8, complete with the red belt and black facial paint.
In In the Shadows, entering the arcade makes Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls available for 300 materials. This cel-shaded design comes from the 2026 fighting game of the same name and includes its locked-in Fightin' Souls Claws, which cannot be used with other costumes.
Late-game outfits, collectibles, and challenge rewards
At the start of Way Down Low, players can craft three more outfits. The 250-material Black Tank includes Ragged Adamantium Claws and appears to be an original riff on the standard Tank Top design, with a black shirt, hat, and exaggerated sideburns. Yellow Variant also costs 250 materials, awards Variant Claws, and recreates Wolverine's 2024 Deadpool & Wolverine costume.
The 200-material Animated suit takes its appearance from the original animated series and X-Men '97. It includes Animated Claws, another suit-exclusive claw style. Patch unlocks automatically at the beginning of Roll The Dice. This is Logan's famous Madripoor cover identity: a white tuxedo, eyepatch, and a look introduced in Marvel Comics Presents #10.
Feral becomes craftable for 300 materials at the start of I'm Still Here. It reflects Wolverine's wild appearance from the game's opening cutscene, when Essex rescues him.
For collectible hunters, gathering every Whiskey Bottle unlocks Midnight and its Scarlet Claws. The black armored suit with red highlights is based on Midnight Suns #4, although the black-and-gold costume from the Marvel's Midnight Suns game is not included here.
The three Gauntlet Nightmare Trials provide several of the hardest cosmetic rewards. Achieving Silver in Last Stand at Cold Pines grants Flat-Edged Claws, an original-looking claw design. Silver in Crucible of Tears unlocks Gold Claws, made of the divine metal Adamantine; these have appeared in comics including Astonishing X-Men. Silver in Savage Showdown rewards Diamond Claws, an extravagant set that may be original to the game, though diamond claws also evoke the Diamond Patch fusion from Infinity Wars.
Gold rank in all three Gauntlet Nightmare Trials unlocks Future Fugitive and Techno-Organic Claws. The design is based on Omega Wolverine's infected form in X Deaths of Wolverine, where the Phalanx techno-organic virus spreads across his body but is slowed by his healing factor. Reaching Adamantium rank in all three Trials unlocks Hellverine with Charred Bone Claws, inspired by the demonic Wolverine form created when Bagra-ghul possesses him.
Finally, completing every mission unlocks Death. The suit draws on Wolverine's role as Apocalypse's Horseman of Death in Astonishing X-Men #1, including blue metallic armor and a red head covering.
Digital Deluxe Edition suits
All five Digital Deluxe Edition outfits unlock at the start of The One That Got Away. Age of Apocalypse comes with Thick Claws and depicts the black-and-red Weapon-X look from that alternate timeline, including the missing left hand. Incredible includes Smooth-Edged Claws and references Wolverine's debut costume from The Incredible Hulk #180.
New Leather unlocks Tapered Claws and nods toward the black leather styling of New X-Men #114, while also recalling early-2000s X-Men film costumes. Savage comes with Hollow Blade Claws and is an original game design by comic artist Adam Kubert. The final bonus, Night Hunt, includes Serrated Spine Claws and is another original design, created by artist Iban Coello.
For players trying to earn every visual option, the practical route is clear: finish the story missions, collect crates whenever possible, sweep up all Whiskey Bottles, and return to the Gauntlet Nightmare Trials once Logan is ready for their highest rankings. The reward is a collection that lets Wolverine move from classic yellow heroism to Weapon X horror, Madripoor elegance, animated nostalgia, and some truly strange alternate-universe extremes.
