The Complete Set is one of the more elaborate optional quests in Control Resonant. It begins with an apparently ordinary speaker at the Museum of Curiosities, then expands into a Manhattan-wide hunt for a full SINKKI D50 audio set: four additional speakers and one subwoofer. The mission eventually returns players to the Auction House for a supernatural placement puzzle and a final decision involving a mysterious Gate.

The quest can be confusing because its objectives branch out after the Auction House is discovered, and the speakers are not simply sitting still waiting to be collected. Several will flee, pulse with force, and repeatedly push Dylan away. The final ritual also requires placing each component on the correct material rather than merely putting every item in the same area.

Here is the full route through The Complete Set, including how to start it, where to locate every missing component, how speaker containment works, and what changes when deciding whether to silence or amplify the subwoofer.

How to start The Complete Set

Begin in the West Incursion Zone by visiting the Museum of Curiosities. Read the note placed on the reception counter, then go deeper into the museum and inspect the SINKKI D50 speaker at the back.

The speaker immediately demonstrates that it is far from normal. It starts jumping around the room, producing disruptive flashes and pulses as it moves. This introduces the containment mechanic used for the rest of the quest. Once this first speaker has been secured, the next destination is the marked Auction House in Downtown.

At the Auction House, Dylan finds a civilian who appears to be under an unusual influence and requires assistance. There is another SINKKI speaker to deal with here, as well as a collectible called There's People in There. Reading it reveals the paths to the remaining missing pieces: a lead at the Collector's Apartment, one at the Auction Buyer's Apartment, and the confiscated subwoofer connected to Langston.

After reaching this stage, the three remaining leads can be handled in whichever order is most convenient.

How to contain the moving speakers

The SINKKI D50 units defend themselves by bouncing around their environment and emitting pulses that knock Dylan back before he can grab them. Trying to rush directly at a speaker while it is active is generally ineffective.

The reliable approach is to stay at a safe distance and watch its pattern. Each speaker briefly stops between jumps. When it pauses, quickly close the gap and hold L1 on PlayStation controllers or LB on Xbox controllers. If the timing is right, Dylan suppresses or extracts the force enabling the speaker's movement. It can then be picked up normally.

Do not be discouraged if a speaker gets away during the first attempt. The chase sections are designed around waiting for those short openings rather than winning through constant pursuit. Keep the unit in view, anticipate where it can move next, and commit to the containment input as soon as it becomes still.

Collector's Apartment speaker location

Travel to the Collector's Apartment and listen to the collectible titled Pete, Nina and Lester. The recording explains that the speaker was thrown away, pointing the search outside rather than further into the apartment.

Leave through the building's main entrance and head straight across the street toward the construction-site entrance. On the right side are several dumpsters. The SINKKI D50 speaker is among them.

Interacting with it causes it to escape into the construction site. Follow it through the area and use the standard containment method: wait for it to stop moving, approach quickly, and hold the suppression input before it can launch another pulse. Once contained, collect it and return to the broader quest route.

Auction Buyer's Apartment and Atlantis coffee shop speaker location

The Auction Buyer's Apartment is located in Central and is marked as part of The Complete Set chain. Inside, inspect the shelves beside the front door. You will find the Exchange Location Note, which directs Dylan to a nearby coffee shop.

The destination is Atlantis. Enter through its street-level front entrance. The speaker is resting on a table inside the café, but touching it begins another containment chase rather than granting an immediate pickup.

As with the other speakers, let it pause before closing in. Its pulses are meant to force spacing and patience, so maintain visual contact and avoid spending too much time directly beside it while it remains active. Contain it during a pause, then take the speaker back for the eventual Auction House ritual.

How to find the confiscated subwoofer

The fifth and final component is the Confiscated Subwoofer. To begin this portion, speak with Langston at the Field Office in Central. He explains that the unit is being held within the FBC Oldest House near Executive Research. The conversation also provides a new Control Resonant Clearance Keycard, which is required to reach it.

Return to the Oldest House in Downtown and retrace the route used during the game's tutorial until reaching Executive Research. Near the bunker is a locked door marked SR. The new clearance keycard opens it.

The subwoofer encounter differs slightly from the earlier speaker hunts. Interacting with it causes Hiss enemies to appear first. Eliminate the hostile group before focusing on the device itself. Once the room is safe, pursue the subwoofer and contain it using the same timing used for every other SINKKI unit.

With all four speakers in addition to the initial unit, plus the subwoofer, the collection is complete. Return to the Auction House in Downtown to conduct the ritual.

The Auction House ritual solution

At the Auction House, interact with the table near the possessed civilian to lay out the recovered equipment. The collectible The SINKKI D50 Speaker Set explains the central rule: each ordinary speaker must be placed on a particular type of surface. The individual speakers are interchangeable, so there is no need to remember which speaker came from each location. The subwoofer, however, has one specific required destination.

Place the components as follows:

  • One speaker on glass: Use the glass table leaning against a pillar on the lower level. It is in the direction the civilian is facing, opposite the main stage and near the ascending stairs.
  • One speaker on stone: Place it on the stage, specifically on the pallet made of crossed stone slabs.
  • One speaker on blue: Use the blue tarp hanging over the edge of the East mezzanine that overlooks the stage.
  • One speaker on wood: On the east mezzanine, directly opposite the civilian, find the wooden bench positioned beneath a spotlight between two generators.
  • The subwoofer in water: Put it into the puddle created by a spilled mop bucket behind the possessed civilian.

After every unit is correctly placed, turn off all of the regular speakers while leaving the subwoofer running. These speakers again pulse with energy and attempt to push Dylan away, so wait for their inactive intervals before shutting them down one at a time.

When the four speakers are off, speak to the civilian to reach the quest's conclusion.

Should you turn the subwoofer off or turn it up?

The civilian tells Dylan to turn off the subwoofer, while voices emerging from the device urge him to increase its volume instead. The decision is framed around closing or opening "the Gate," but it does not create a clearly positive resolution.

Turning the subwoofer off

Choosing to turn it off closes the Gate. The civilian dies immediately, and The Complete Set ends. Dylan receives the same quest reward available through the other choice: the Untapped Bout Guard artifact.

Turning the subwoofer up

Increasing the volume opens the Gate. The civilian's body becomes occupied by what seem to be several spirits or consciousnesses. They do not attack Dylan, but they are distressed by their condition. Dylan states that the FBC will come to collect them. The quest then concludes with the same Untapped Bout Guard artifact.

There is no established follow-up mission or major gameplay divergence attached to either result. In practical terms, neither option offers a better reward. Narratively, shutting down the subwoofer may feel like the more restrained choice, while amplifying it leaves the Gate open and introduces an unsettling unresolved consequence.

Untapped Bout Guard artifact effect

Once unlocked and accessed back in the Gap, Untapped Bout Guard raises power recovery by 50%. Its drawback is a 20% increase to damage taken. The artifact can be useful for builds that rely heavily on frequent power usage and can tolerate additional incoming damage, but it is a meaningful risk for players already struggling to survive prolonged encounters.

What the SINKKI set and Gate may mean

The quest deliberately leaves much of the SINKKI D50 set's nature unexplained. The ritual strongly suggests that the speakers and subwoofer create or control a passage to another plane, potentially one tied to death or an afterlife. The voices heard through the subwoofer, particularly in the volume-up outcome, imply that opening the Gate may allow something unknown and potentially dangerous to cross over.

The word "SINKKI" is Finnish for zinc, though it can also be associated with a historical musical instrument sometimes depicted with a long, serpentine shape. That association could support a more ominous reading of the Gate, but the quest itself does not conclusively identify its destination. The ambiguity is part of what makes The Complete Set stand out: it begins as a scavenger hunt for eccentric audio equipment and ends with a choice that feels larger, stranger, and far less settled than its reward.
