Dave the Diver has expanded its ever-growing collection of crossover material with a free celebration of GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-. Mintrocket has released the DAVE THE DIVER - GGST Content Pack, bringing the energy, music and unmistakable style of Arc System Works' fighting game into the ocean-diving and restaurant-management adventure.
The downloadable pack is now available at no cost on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation and Xbox. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 players are not being left out, but their version is planned to arrive later as a free in-game update. No exact timing for those Nintendo versions has been announced.
Rather than treating the collaboration as a simple cosmetic drop, the GGST Content Pack introduces several pieces of playable and decorative content. Players can take on a rhythm game built around one of Guilty Gear -Strive-'s most recognizable songs, encounter themed customers at Bancho Sushi, place a new interior item in the restaurant, and equip a crossover weapon for dives in the Blue Hole.
A Guilty Gear rhythm game arrives at Bancho Sushi
The centerpiece of the free pack is a rhythm game called The Disaster of Passion, named after the Guilty Gear -Strive- track used for the activity. The song is closely associated with May, the high-energy pirate fighter whose nautical theme makes her a natural fit for a Dave the Diver collaboration.

Dave the Diver has regularly shifted between distinct styles of play: underwater exploration, fishing and harpooning, boss encounters, restaurant service, minigames and story-driven excursions all share space in its compact but busy structure. A rhythm challenge continues that tradition. It gives players a detour from their familiar loop of gathering ingredients during the day and serving diners at night, while letting the crossover use music as more than background flavor.
The choice of The Disaster of Passion is particularly fitting for a game that moves between lighthearted comedy and sudden bursts of action. Guilty Gear -Strive- is renowned for its character themes and high-impact presentation, while Dave the Diver has built its own identity around surprising genre changes and playful tonal shifts. The new activity joins those sensibilities without changing the core progression that has made Bancho Sushi and the Blue Hole such memorable settings.
Cosplay customers bring the fighters to Bancho Sushi
The collaboration also reaches the restaurant side of Dave's routine. Bancho Sushi will receive customers wearing cosplay inspired by Guilty Gear -Strive- fighters. These guests should make the evening service portion of the game feel a little more like a themed event, adding recognizable visual nods for players familiar with the fighting game roster.

Bancho Sushi is one of Dave the Diver's defining spaces. What begins as a small restaurant becomes a bustling operation with staff management, menu decisions, ingredient preparation and demanding customers. Its ability to absorb themed guests and decorative items makes it an especially useful setting for crossover content. The Guilty Gear additions can sit alongside the game's existing humor and bustling service gameplay rather than requiring a separate mode or story chapter.
Players will also receive the May Speaker, a new interior item for Bancho Sushi. The item carries the same May-inspired identity as the rhythm-game selection and the new weapon. It is a comparatively small addition, but it offers a lasting piece of the crossover for players who enjoy customizing the restaurant between dives and dinner shifts.
May's Anchor adds a new option for underwater dives
On the exploration side, the GGST Content Pack includes May's Anchor, a new weapon for Dave to use beneath the surface. The weapon is designed around a dolphin-charged strike, directly echoing the aquatic flair associated with May's fighting style in Guilty Gear -Strive-.
Weapons are an important part of Dave the Diver's diving loop. The waters of the Blue Hole contain valuable fish and materials, but they are also home to aggressive creatures that can quickly turn a routine expedition into a risky scramble. New tools can alter how players approach those encounters, whether they are looking to safely collect a target, defend themselves while exploring deeper zones, or simply experiment with something different from their preferred loadout.
May's Anchor is therefore more than a visual reference. Its dolphin-powered attack gives the collaboration a presence during the game's main underwater excursions, rather than limiting it to restaurant décor and a single minigame. Fans who want to carry the crossover into ordinary dives will have a themed weapon that is built for exactly that purpose.
A free crossover with broad platform availability
The GGST Content Pack is free, continuing a pattern of extra content that lets Dave the Diver add unexpected collaborations to its world. The pack is available now for PC players on Steam and the Epic Games Store, plus players on PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 support is confirmed, though it will arrive differently. Instead of a currently available download, the content is set to be added via a free in-game update on those systems. That distinction matters for players deciding where to play, particularly because the crossover's content is not yet confirmed to be live on Nintendo hardware. Mintrocket has said it is coming soon, but has not provided a specific release date.
- Available now: PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation, and Xbox.
- Coming soon: Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 through a free in-game update.
- Price: Free.
Why Guilty Gear -Strive- fits Dave the Diver
At first glance, a stylized competitive fighting game and a pixel-art diving adventure might appear to have little in common. Yet Dave the Diver has made its name by embracing the unexpected. It can move from tranquil fish-catching to restaurant comedy, from environmental exploration to oversized sea-creature battles, often within the same session. Guilty Gear -Strive- similarly balances loud personality, elaborate character designs, music-driven identity and intense action.
The May-focused material gives the crossover a particularly strong connection point. Her seafaring look, anchor weapon and dolphin attacks already provide an ocean-adjacent language that can be translated into Dave the Diver with little compromise. A speaker, themed restaurant visitors, a musical minigame and an underwater weapon all build on that shared imagery in different ways.
It also means the content has something for several kinds of Dave the Diver player. Those focused on presentation can enjoy the new Bancho Sushi item and cosplay customers. Those who like minigames can tackle The Disaster of Passion. Players who spend most of their time planning dives and collecting resources can bring May's Anchor into the Blue Hole. The pack is compact, but it distributes its ideas across the game's best-known activities.
What players should know before diving in
Players on supported PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions can download the free DAVE THE DIVER - GGST Content Pack now. Once installed, its additions bring Guilty Gear -Strive- flavor to both halves of the game: the ocean excursions where Dave searches for ingredients and confronts danger, and the restaurant operation where those catches become part of Bancho Sushi's nightly service.
Switch and Switch 2 owners will need to wait for the promised update. Since there is no announced date, players should keep an eye on future game updates rather than expecting the content to be available immediately on those platforms.
For everyone else, the new pack is an easy reason to return to the Blue Hole. Whether the draw is a chance to play along with The Disaster of Passion, see Guilty Gear-inspired guests take over Bancho Sushi, redecorate with the May Speaker, or test a dolphin-charged anchor attack underwater, the collaboration adds another unusual diversion to a game already defined by having plenty of them.
