K/DA is returning to the spotlight with a new Louis Vuitton collaboration, and it is arriving just days before the virtual pop group's next project is fully revealed. Riot Games and the French fashion house have announced Tempo Point, a K/DA Travel Book that gathers newly commissioned illustrations centered on the lives of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa. The release follows the group's recent tease of a comeback project titled Start a Fire, its first new activity since 2020.

The book is scheduled to launch on Friday, October 16, in Louis Vuitton's online store, select Louis Vuitton locations, and participating bookstores. It will be offered in a Standard Edition priced at $68 USD and a much more limited Collector's Large-Format Edition priced at $245 USD. Both versions contain the same artwork, presented in a cloth-bound hardcover with a silk-screened cover and six-color printing.

Only 400 copies of the large-format collector version are being made. A still rarer signed edition will be available at select Louis Vuitton stores, packaged with an exclusive vinyl record. Just 30 copies of that signed vinyl bundle are planned in total, making it the most limited version connected to the project.

A travel-book format built around K/DA's members

Louis Vuitton's Travel Book collection has traditionally used illustration to create artistic portraits of locations and cultures around the world. Tempo Point applies that premium art-book format to a different sort of destination: the fictional, fashion-forward universe of K/DA.

The central idea is described as a look at "24 hours" in the individual lives of the four members. Ahri is K/DA's vocalist, Akali serves as rapper, Evelynn is a vocalist, and Kai'Sa handles vocals alongside her role as lead dancer and choreographer. Rather than simply repackaging existing promotional images or in-game art, the book is positioned as a collection of new illustrations that imagine the routines, spaces, and public personas surrounding each performer.

That approach makes Tempo Point notable even for fans who have followed K/DA since its debut. The group has always been built through a mixture of music, animation, game cosmetics, social-media presentation, and high-fashion styling. An art book gives those visual elements room to exist without being limited to a song launch, a stage performance, or a League of Legends skin release.

It also offers a physical collectible for a project whose biggest moments have generally existed online. K/DA's videos, singles, digital character art, and in-game appearances are designed for a global audience, while a cloth-bound art book and a vinyl-included signed variant emphasize the kind of scarcity and presentation usually associated with luxury fashion publishing.

Release details, editions, and Worlds 2026 presence

The Standard and Collector's Large-Format editions are set to be sold through Louis Vuitton online, Louis Vuitton stores, and a selection of bookstores. The Standard Edition will additionally be displayed at the League of Legends Worlds 2026 Fan Fest in New York, which is scheduled to run from November 12 through November 14.

  • Standard Edition: $68 USD.
  • Collector's Large-Format Edition: $245 USD, limited to 400 copies.
  • Signed store edition: Available at select Louis Vuitton stores, includes an exclusive vinyl record, and is limited to 30 copies total.
  • Artwork and production: Both main editions use the same imagery, with six-color printing in a cloth-bound hardcover featuring a silk-screened cover.

For attendees of the New York fan event, the Standard Edition's display creates another connection between the book and League of Legends' largest competitive stage. Worlds has long been a major setting for K/DA-related announcements and performances, so the timing makes sense even though the book itself is aimed at art, fashion, and music collectors as much as at players.

No details were provided on the artists contributing the new illustrations, nor was there an indication that the book will include new music, game content, or a code for an in-game item. Its announced purpose is squarely visual: a luxury-format exploration of K/DA's four members through original art.

Why Louis Vuitton and K/DA are familiar collaborators

The partnership may look unusual at a glance, but Louis Vuitton has a considerable history with Riot Games, League of Legends, and K/DA specifically. The fashion house served as the official provider of the Summoner's Cup Trophy Trunk for the 2019 League of Legends World Championship, establishing a highly visible connection to the esport's biggest annual event.

Louis Vuitton's relationship with the game went further than trophy presentation. Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Women's Collections at the house, designed multiple League of Legends skins. The brand also dressed K/DA and guest artist Lexie Liu during promotional activity surrounding MORE. Liu voiced Seraphine, another major music-focused character from the League of Legends universe.

That history helps explain why a K/DA-focused Travel Book is a natural next step rather than a one-off licensing experiment. K/DA's identity has consistently treated wardrobe, accessories, silhouettes, and graphic design as essential parts of the act. The group is not merely a set of game characters singing pop songs; it is a multimedia project whose visual presentation changes with each era.

Louis Vuitton's involvement therefore fits the group's broader language of aspirational style. The format also echoes the way K/DA has blurred lines between game promotion and real-world pop culture since its beginning. Fans engage with the performers as fictional champions, digital idols, and fashion figures at the same time.

'Start a Fire' will be revealed October 20

The arrival of Tempo Point comes immediately after K/DA confirmed that it is preparing a new project. The group's social accounts posted an image showing the eyes of all four members alongside the phrase "Start a Fire." The full project is due to be revealed on October 20.

K/DA debuted in 2018 with POP/STARS, a breakout single that brought together League of Legends champions and performers from the global pop world. Its success turned the group into one of Riot Games' most recognizable music initiatives. K/DA later returned with material including MORE, but the upcoming announcement marks its first teased comeback since 2020.

At present, "project" leaves plenty of room for interpretation. The teaser does not confirm whether Start a Fire is a standalone song, a broader release campaign, a new music video, an in-game collaboration, or a combination of several pieces. With the October 20 reveal so close, Riot and K/DA are clearly holding back the details for the formal announcement.

One intriguing sign comes from Fortiche, the animation studio associated with Arcane. Fortiche has interacted with K/DA's official comeback announcement across social platforms. That activity has prompted speculation that the studio may be involved in a new animated K/DA video. However, neither Riot Games nor Fortiche has confirmed animation work, so it should be treated as a possibility rather than an announced feature of Start a Fire.

A carefully timed return for a major virtual act

The timing of the book gives K/DA's comeback a broader cultural frame. Releasing a premium visual collection ahead of the October 20 reveal reinforces the sense that this is an era launch, not simply a surprise track drop. It introduces fans to new artwork and a new collector item while preserving the mystery around the music project itself.

For League of Legends players, the group's return naturally raises questions about potential skins, event content, or Worlds-related appearances. Nothing of that kind has been announced alongside Tempo Point, and fans should not assume that the art book confirms any particular game update. Still, K/DA's history means the group's next step will be watched closely across both the game and music sides of the community.

For now, the confirmed schedule is straightforward. Tempo Point launches October 16 in its Standard and Collector's formats. K/DA's Start a Fire project will be fully revealed on October 20. The Standard Edition will also have a place at the Worlds 2026 Fan Fest in New York from November 12 to 14, while the smallest signed-and-vinyl run will remain exclusive to select Louis Vuitton stores.

After six years without a K/DA comeback, that sequence gives fans several ways to re-enter the group's world: through new imagery, luxury print design, and, soon, whatever the fire-themed next chapter turns out to be.
